Studia ceranea
The periodical accepts works concerning the Mediterranean and Slavic regions, in the chronological range from the 1st century AD to the 18th century inclusive.
The goal set by the Editorial Board of "Studia Ceranea" is to create a scholarly journal of an interdisciplinary nature that offers specialized studies, reviews and review notes of newly published monographs. In this way, we try to overcome the narrow specialization of strictly Byzantinological or Slavic studies; the articles are intended to present various aspects of Late Antique Byzantine and Slavic culture of the Mediterranean Basin and Southeastern Europe, which is integral in its diversity. As a result, "Studia Ceranea," building on the earlier models of other periodicals on similar subjects, seeks to use the methodology and achievements of related disciplines used in the study of late antiquity, the Middle Ages and modern times, and opens itself to new challenges posed by contemporary humanist thought.
The Editorial Board of "Studia Ceranea" makes every effort to maintain the highest ethical standards at every stage of the editorial procedure. Each article is subject to the procedure of anonymous double blind peer review (PrePrint type), by at least two reviewers.
Series ceranea
The series publishes primary sources, bibliographies, monographic works, collective volumes devoted to the history and culture of the Mediterranean and Southeastern Europe from antiquity to modern times inclusive, with particular emphasis on the history of Byzantium and the communities of the Slavia Orthodoxa circle.
